(Villain #2, Banning Moore, Aidan Moore's Grandfather: "The Heretic King"
You never get to meet him, as he's dead *Pathen killed him* long before the time of the story.)
Yes, I'm back.
The vacation was good, most of it anyway. ;P I didn't keep up on chat as I ought to have, and I didn't keep up on e-mail. You all must forgive me, but I was REALLY sick... I have celiac disease, and that means, (if you didn't know already) that I can't eat gluten.
You wouldn't believe how much food has gluten in it. :P Anyway... lesson learned. Don't pull nine-year-old M.R.Es out, and attempt to eat them, even though they don't have an ingredients list. Yeah, so I'm dumb.
Or as my Grampa might say, d-u-b-m... :P LOL ;)
I'm still recovering, so I won't be on
MUCH, but some... Thank you, those of you who read my Mum's blog, for your prayers. I love you all dearly. *hugs*
So, I have been trying to get work around the house done, also the drawings for Jem and Scottie... hopefully soon- though don't worry... I shan't strain myself. :P But I will come through. Promise.
Thanks for all your comments on the last post by the way... ;) I really appreciated seeing that I would be missed. :)
I have some drawings to post soon, but I haven't scanned them all in, so maybe if I get on tomorrow, I will post them.
We had a yard sale last weekend, and will this weekend again... so I've been trying to help out with that too... so busy. I hate summer. :P LOL
I had better go get some easy work done, and I will post again later. Glad to be back, even if I do feel awful just now. Just my luck. :P
Lovingly,
Doulos is a Greek word that means bond-servant. In the New Testament times it was not uncommon for a freed slave to voluntarily re-enter servitude to a master whom he loved. This servitude was called bond-service. Only a freed slave could be a bond-servant, and once he had chosen to become one, he could never be freed again. Neither could he be bought or sold, and he served his chosen master until death. When a man chose bond-service, he was taken to the front entrance of the house, and his right ear was laid against the door post. A nail was driven through his ear, and a golden earring was placed in it. This golden earring was a symbol to all of the servant’s choice and of his immunity to being made merchandise. Paul and Peter spoke of themselves as being bond-servants to Christ. There is a service whose true name is freedom.

"To a writer, a sharpened pencil holds potential."
- Erin O.
A Tinker?
What is such a person?
"A member of any of various traditionally itinerant groups of people living especially in Scotland and Ireland; a traveler."
They are the Gypsies of Ireland, therefore, Gypsy Rover is my motto!
(with any luck, 'me' own Gypsy Rover will come along) "Waitin' for m' Dearie" LOL
My wish to travel, and my love of Ireland, landed me this name, Tinker Spirit.
So explaining, now all that read this will understand a bit better what it's really all about.
Gypsy Rover
A gypsy rover came over the hill, into the valley shady;
He whistled and he sang til the green wood rang,
And he won the heart of a la-dy.
She left her father's castle gate, she left her own true lover;
She left her servants and her estate;
To follow her gypsy rover.
He whistled and he sang til the green woods rang
And he won the heart of a lady.
Her father mounted his fastest steed,
And searched the valley all over;
He sought his daughter at great speed
And the whistling gypsy rover.
At last he came to a mansion fine, down by the river Claydee,
And there was music and there was wine
For the gypsy and his lady.
"He is no gypsy, my father," she cried,"But Lord of these lands all over, and I shall stay til my dying day with my whistling gypsy rover."
I do not want people to be agreeable, as it saves me the trouble of liking them.

Poor you!! Bailey has been in hysetics ever since she heard you got sick. :D
I'll have to go send Bailey up to make sure you take care of yourself. :P
Well, hello, there! Yes, I really was in hysterics. LOL But, do stay sick until we can get the care package up to you...but no more MREs. Yuck. %)
Now that I know you're alive I can stop worrying. Phew. They should make buttons that you can press that automatically call Bailey so she can rest assured you're all right. :)
*Pictures*Pictures* So...Pathen killed his father? or his father-in-law?
BTW, m'dear, do me a favor and lecture me for not writing for a week. I have an excuse today, but probably not for tomorrow. ;)
Happy Fourth of July! Love you ((tons)) and ((big hugs))! And just in case you can't hear me - well, I love you muches. ;)
Enola's Namesake-ish
Thank'ee Flop... if you could be spared, I'd want BOTH of you... but, as I am frequently reminded: you're both too special for your parents to part with. ;) (I wouldn't, if I were them.) *hug*
Well Bayleaf, I will be sick for a while, sadly... it will take some time to recover... ;) LOL They should make buttons. I can't wait to get the mail! *jumps up and down and then rethinks such exuberance for the sickly feeling*
LOL Yes, Pathen killed his father, (the Heretic King) thus Bruin gave him the sword? 'member? ;D
Hmm... what's MY excuse? ;) I'll get to replying soon though. I'll get that radio thing up too... sounds REALLY interesting. ;)
Happy Fourth of July to you too! :) I hope you have a wonderful time whatever you do. *hugs*... the muches of love is mucho returned. *more hugs* just think how many hugs I'll give you when we see each other in person someday. I'll probably squeeze the breath out of you. ;) I love you dearly.
Tried to comment before, but it wouldn't go through.
Anyway, hope you're getting better by now, and we all missed you horribly, but I'm glad the break was good! Haha—if you're not better, you'd better finish getting better quick.
Cheers,
Scottie
Tagged you!
Not sure where else to put this—but the books are here! I would send you one, but I don't have your address. Unfortunately, I'm leaving on Tuesday and will be gone for two weeks. If I don't have it by then, it'll have to wait. :( It's a beautiful book, and very sleek!
Scottie
P.S. Hope things are well and you're having a good time—whatever you're up to now. :-)
